Having begun his career at the age of sixteen, Douglas built his foundation on the Vidal Sassoon philosophy—treating haircutting as an architectural art form focused on precision, geometry, and effortless wearability. Throughout his four-decade career, he has collaborated and worked alongside some of the industry's best, honing a mastery that bridges the refinement of classic salon techniques with modern, high-end barbering.
Based in Reno, Nevada, Douglas is the owner of CutThroat Barbershop Reno and Hollow Ground Barbering. As an educator, he is passionate about passing down the meticulous standards of Sassoon-inspired methodology to elevate the next generation of hair professionals. Shon Lawhon
With over 16 years of experience behind the chair, Shon Lawhon brings a high level of discipline and technical mastery to The Cutthroat Barbershop in downtown Reno. A United States Navy combat veteran, Shon carries the values of reliability and consistency into every service.
Shon is a classically trained, traditional barber. He specializes in time-honored techniques, including:

• Precision soft-line tapering

Born and raised between California and Nevada, Mike is proud to call Northern Nevada home. He brings a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and genuine passion for barbering to every client who sits in his chair.
Mike has a passion for clean fades, sharp tapers, and straight razor shaves, he is committed to providing precision, consistency, and an experience that leaves every client looking and feeling their best. After completing his barber training and earning his Nevada barber license, he has decided to start his career with the team at Cutthroat Barbershop, where he’s excited to continue growing his craft and serving the Reno community.
